The Last Stand and the Independent Games Festival

I've been through a really busy 6 months. Things have been pretty crazy all round.

The Last Stand has been entered into the Independant Games Festival at GDC and I'll find out tomorrow if it makes the 29 finalists where it'll be in the running for best browser based game. The game has been hugely successful above and beyond anything I'd imagined. It made news on Kotaku and was on the front page of Digg for a while as well. A lot of this is due to the Newgrounds fans and I appreciate you all even though I might take 4 months to respond to PM's.

My work has kept me incredibly busy with 3 fairly major multiplayer flash titles being released before the holidays. This has kept me away from making my own games. Producing games all day, then coming home to do it is just too much. As a result, my fighting game has been shelved, as has a few other prototypes that I've been working on. I'm sure at least some of them will come back at some point.

But, there is good news. Things are slowing down again and as a result I'm back at it. More in a few days.

Your Last Stand title is definitely my most played game online, never get tired of it and would love to see what's to come with a sequel! I think it could become an amazing game, and as a zombie fan it's the best game I've played in the genre, amazing work sir.

Good to hear you have some spare time. The Last Stand was a brilliant game, unlike any zombire game I'd played before, it really broke the mould. What makes it better is it was your first flash submission hre. Hope see some more out of you in the new year!

Tell you whats gonna be funny as hell is WHEN Con-Artist releases The Last Stand 2 IF and WHEN he does that to some its gonna be too hard, or too easy, doesn't have enough weapons, zombies are too slow, too fast all those details lol...But go into the direction you want to and dont be forced to make games otherwise, normally, they dont end up doing well...And congrats to making it to the Independant Games Festival, shows that you have great skills, since The Last Stand was your first flash game you made...I think? but yeah, good luck no matter what direction you go.
